An accident involving more than five vehicles occurred on the Nairobi-Naivasha highway near Acre Tano Limuru on Friday, July 14, 2023.
The accident involved a trailer, a school bus from Kayole High School, and three other vehicles.
The school bus was carrying students who were returning from a field trip to Naivasha. The students were between the ages of 12 and 15 years old.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but it is believed that one of the vehicles may have lost control and collided with the others.
Seven people were killed in the accident, including six students and the bus driver. Over 20 other people were injured, including several students.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The condition of some of the injured is still unknown.
