Nandy is a Tanzanian music artist known for her soulful voice and versatility in various music genres such as Bongo Flava, R&B, and gospel. She was born on November 9, 1992, in Moshi, Tanzania, and her birth name is Faustina Charles Mfinanga.
Nandy began her music career in 2010 when she participated in the Tanzania music talent show, “Epiq Bongo Star Search” and emerged as the first runners-up. She later went on to release her debut single “Nagusagusa” in 2017, which became a hit on the Tanzanian charts.
Since then, Nandy has released several popular songs such as “Aibu,” “Kivuruge,” “Hazipo,” “One Day,” and “Ninogeshe.” She has collaborated with other Tanzanian artists like Harmonize, Billnass, and Ali Kiba. In 2021, Nandy won the Best Female Artist award at the African Entertainment Awards USA and was also nominated for the Best East African Female Artist category at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).
