On October 24, 2023, at approximately 4:26 PM, two people were shot in the 15th District of Philadelphia, at 5701 W. Madison Street in the Austin area.
One of the victims, a 21-year-old black male, was shot in the left forearm and the right thigh.
The other victim, a 23-year-old black female, was shot in the chest.
The 21-year-old male was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by police and placed in stable condition.
The 23-year-old female was transported to Temple University Hospital by police, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating the shooting.
